Traffic Courts in El Dorado County

Traffic ticket in El Dorado court cases will be heard in one of two courthouses:

  1. El Dorado County Superior Court, Placerville Building C, Branch 2850 Fairlane Court, Suite 120 Placerville, CA 95667 (Or)
  2. El Dorado County Superior Court, South Lake Tahoe Branch, 1354 Johnson Blvd. South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Responding late to the traffic violation will cost an additional civil assessment fee of $300. This amount is added on top of the fine you will pay. If you continue to ignore the ticket, it is not uncommon for the court to impose additional penalties which increase the costs past $900. A hold on your drivers license and possibly a warrant will also be issued.  It only gets worse the longer you take to resolve the citation.

When you hire us we immediately start on the case because time may not be in your favor. We schedule to go to court very quickly. A request is made that the court lift the hold on your license. A warrant for your arrest if issued, is also requested to be withdrawn. In many cases the penalties and assessments that were added to the fine can be removed, if good cause is shown.

Many a problem drivers have is the chaos and confusion caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This caused courts to shut down. This severely curtailed court operations as they struggled to maintain some normalcy.
