Responding late to the traffic violation will cost an additional civil assessment fee of $300. This amount is added on top of the fine you will pay. If you continue to ignore the ticket, it is not uncommon for the court to impose additional penalties which increase the costs past $900. A hold on your drivers license and possibly a warrant will also be issued.  It only gets worse the longer you take to resolve the citation.
